Dr. Charles Houston, a chaplain for the Georgia Department of Public Safety since 1997, died after a gangway collapse on Sapelo Island. Known for his spiritual support to law enforcement, especially cadets, he was a cherished figure. He leaves behind his wife, Elizabeth, and two children. Condolences were offered by DPS.
