ROSWELL -- The Roswell Police Department has arrested a former local charter school teacher on rape charges, and is encouraging any additional victims to come forward. On Tuesday, August 31, Roswell Police Officers began an investigation into the sexual assault of a child, reported to have taken place in early 2020 at the Fulton Academy of Science and Technology Charter School located in Roswell. Canton man sentenced for zip tying and pistol-whipping his ex-wife

CANTON -- A Canton man was sentenced to 70 years with the first 25 of those years to be served in confinement for an attack on his ex-wife in the early morning hours of New Year's Day. CANTON -- With a submitted rendering of a mural representing the history and diversity of Cherokee County, Shanna Coulter, a fine art instructor at Cherokee High School, was selected as the featured artist to complete a three-foot-high and 540-foot-long mural on Railroad Street. 1-year-old girl dead after stabbing incident in Canton

CANTON -- A one-year-old girl has died in an apparent stabbing incident in Canton, police say. The Canton Police Department is investigating a stabbing that led to the death of the 13-month-old girl and caused life-threatening injuries to a 20 year old woman. The incident occurred Tuesday at about 2:30 p.m. and took place at a home on Mountain Vista Blvd. in the Mountain View subdivision.
