Braves Opening Day: Ronald Acuna Jr. Names His Top Five Players In Baseball

Atlanta Braves star Ronald Acuña Jr. is firmly in the conversation for best player in the MLB, there’s no doubt about it.

During the 2023 season, Acuña had a .337 batting average with 41 home runs and 106 RBIs. He also had 73 stolen bases, making him the first player in league history to record at least 40 home runs and 70 stolen bases in a single season.

In an interview with Complex, the reigning National League MVP ranked the top five players in the MLB. He left himself off this list.

Here are the top five players in baseball, according to Acuña:

That’s a pretty good list from Acuña. Most fans, however, think he’s a superior player to some of these All-Star sluggers.

“Good on Acuna to not name himself top 5 but he’s objectively top 3 in the game,” a fan replied.

Another fan said, “Didn’t name himself while wearing an MVP chain on his neck. King.”

Acuña is currently the betting favorite to win NL MVP at +500. Mookie Betts is right behind him at +650.
