As of Friday night, Hall County became Georgia’s sixth county with more than 1,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
According to the Georgia Department of Public Education, Hall County now has 1,022 confirmed cases of coronavirus and nine people in the county have died from the virus.
Hall joins Fulton, DeKalb, Dougherty, Gwinnett and Cobb Counties, which all have more than 1,000 cases as of 7 p.m. Friday.
Statewide there have been 22,491 confirmed cases of coronavirus, 4,322 people have been hospitalized and 899 people have died from COVID-19.
