The Georgia Department of Public Health released a list of long-term care facilities that have had confirmed cases of coronavirus either from residents or staff.
Long-term care facilities generally refers to nursing homes and assisted living facilities, and coronavirus is known to spread rapidly in these types of facilities.
The department of health says it will update the list every Friday.
So far 48 facilities in 21 counties have reported cases of coronavirus.
Below is the list of facilities and counties. According to the Department of Public Health, this is the only information that will be provided regarding these outbreaks. Information about residents and or staff who are infected is considered protected health information and under HIPAA guidance cannot be released.
