The search for 46-year-old Kenneth Holland came to a sad end Sunday evening when his body was discovered in a remote area off Pearl Nix Parkway near Lake Lanier.
Holland had been reported missing nearly two weeks earlier, on August 18 from the Tower Heights area, also located off Pearl Nix Parkway.
The Details: Holland’s remains were found at the bottom of a deep ravine, a challenging terrain that likely delayed the discovery. Police said Holland was known to have been in an altered state of mind at the time of his disappearance, which may have contributed to the circumstances leading to his death.
Authorities do not suspect foul play in Holland’s death, though the investigation is ongoing. The exact cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner, who will conduct an autopsy in the coming days.
