The Gist: Concerns are mounting for the safety of 11-year-old Jaymez Wilburn, who disappeared after school on Thursday. Bibb County law enforcement is on the case, combing through Adams Avenue and asking locals to keep an eye out.

What Happened?:
Jaymez, a student at Ballard Middle School, went to all his classes on Thursday but failed to meet up with his siblings for the walk home. Family members searched the usual spots he might be but found nothing. Officers were alerted just after 11 p.m. and have been searching the area around the 2100 block of Adams Avenue.

Information:

  • Jaymez is about 4 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs roughly 87 pounds.
  • He was last seen in a Burgundy polo shirt, blue jeans, and Burgundy, black, and white Nike shoes.
  • The young boy also wore a blue jacket and has black hair with brown eyes.
  • Family reports indicate Jaymez is autistic.
