A K9 named Vilma has retired from the Athens-Clarke County Police Department after six years of service.
What’s Happening: Vilma was recognized last week during a retirement celebration held by the department. She served alongside her handler, Lt. Blair, for the entirety of her career.
What’s Important: Vilma was the first K9 to join the department under its current K9 program.
