“My beautiful Smile is pain free, living in her new body alongside Jesus,” the actor, 62, wrote in his post, referring to Alicia as “my Smile,” as he often did.

“Please respect our privacy during this time of grief. Please do not ask any questions,” he added, while inviting his friends and followers to share “any pictures of us and our obvious love and adoration for each other.”

“Lastly,” he urged. “Hug those you love tight and let them know how you feel. We always did.”

Alicia was a filmmaker who worked as a manager to John, owner of John Schneider Studios, prior to the nuptials. The pair tied the knot in 2019 at the barn on the studio property in Holden, Louisiana.

“This is a time of unimaginable sorrow for me,” John wrote in another Facebook post on Thursday. “Grief is much too small a word. I’ve heard it said that ‘with great love comes great sorrow.’ I had no idea what that meant until now.”

“Alicia was the fuel that ran my biggest dreams,” he continued. “The inspiration behind every creative thought The very fabric of my soul. The glue that held me together.”

“I miss her more than any words could possibly describe,” he continued alongside a photo where is seen cozying up to his wife during the holidays.

“Thank you for your thoughts, concerns and prayers,” he wrote to his followers. “Continue to post the glorious photos you captured of my Smile and I changing our world and sometimes yours, one kiss at a time because those images help.”
