Two charged in shooting of woman at movie theater who told them to be quiet

ATLANTA -- Two suspects in a January shooting at an Atlanta movie theater have been arrested.

ATLANTA — Two suspects in a January shooting at an Atlanta movie theater have been arrested.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, the shooting occurred inside an AMC movie theatre at 3800 Princeton Lakes Way Jan. 9.

Officers responded to the Walgreen’s at 3800 Princeton Lakes Parkway on a report of a person shot. On scene officers found the victim, 22-year-old Rickell Etheridge, with a gunshot wound in the shoulder.

According to police, Etheridge and her wife were in a nearby movie theater watching a movie. A group sitting behind the victim was being disruptive and Etheridge told them to be quiet. Shortly after that a gunshot was heard inside the theater. Etheridge realized she had been shot and she left the theater and called 911.

Etheridge was taken to the hospital in stable condition. Upon further investigation, Atlanta Police Investigators were able to identify and secure arrest warrants for the suspects involved in the shooting.

The arrest warrants identified suspects Camryn King and Yvonne Crawford. They were both charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime.

Both King and Crawford were located in Indianapolis and were arrested with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals. They will be extradited to Atlanta.
