What Happened?: On Saturday, August 5, at about 7:09 p.m., officers at Sugarloaf Mills Mall were alerted by gunshots. As they rushed towards the sound, mall-goers fled in fear, with some calling 911 about a potential active shooter.
The scene was chaotic, but officers soon found that the incident stemmed from a dispute between two suspects and a shoe kiosk employee. The disagreement turned physical, leading one or both suspects to fire shots. Thankfully, no one was hurt.
What’s Next?: Gwinnett County Police detectives are on the hunt for the two suspects. One was seen in black pants, a black t-shirt, with short hair and a backpack.
