Savannah police have arrested a 54-year-old man for a shooting that killed someone in September on Rogers Street.

What It Means For You: If you live near the 1200 block of Rogers Street, police have made an arrest in the shooting that happened there on Sept. 20.

What Happened: Officers found a man with a gunshot wound around 9:20 p.m. that night after a ShotSpotter alert went off. He died at the scene despite efforts to save him.

The Arrest: Police took Charles Barnes into custody on Oct. 8. He faces charges of murder, aggravated assault, possession of a gun during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
