A Dunwoody man walked outside his apartment just after midnight Tuesday and into a hail of bullets — five shots fired at close range after he caught two men trying to steal his vehicle.

🚨 What happened: The victim woke around 12:10 a.m. on October 7 to his car’s lights flashing through his bedroom window at 1302 Lake Ridge Lane. When he stepped outside, he found one man inside his vehicle and another standing nearby. The man outside opened fire moments after the door opened.

One bullet struck the window and door frame beside him, sending debris into his chest. Four others hit the apartment building and nearby vehicles. The resident was treated at the scene for minor injuries and did not go to the hospital.
