A burglary in Brookhaven on the evening of August 15 quickly spiraled into violence, ending in a police shooting that left one suspect critically injured.
The Details: Officers from the Brookhaven Police Department responded to a burglary in progress at a home on Caldwell Road around 8 p.m. Upon receiving reports, officers learned that the situation had escalated, with gunfire exchanged between the suspects and a resident inside the home.
