ALBANY — Police in Albany have made one arrest in an armed robbery at Maryland’s Fried Chicken on Slappey Blvd.
The robbery occurred on May 26 and a suspect was arrested Wednesday.
According to police, the Albany Police Department Investigations Bureau received an anonymous tip in reference the robbery.
The tipster provided information that led to identifying the suspect, 32-year-old Roger Lewis.
Officers were able to locate Lewis in the 200 Block of Thornton Drive at the Luxury Inn.
The second suspect involved with this incident is still being sought.
Lewis was charged with Armed Robbery and is in the Dougherty County Jail. This incident remains under investigation. Investigators are looking into other locations Lewis and his accomplice may have robbed.
