What Happened?
Just before 5 p.m., Bibb County Sheriff’s officials say a man entered the Circle K store located at 4314 Pio Nono Ave. in Bibb County. The suspect, wearing dark clothing and a mask, allegedly brandished a firearm and demanded money from the clerk. After obtaining an undisclosed sum of cash, sheriff’s officials say the suspect fled the store on foot.
Why It Matters:
While robberies at convenience stores are always dangerous, most of them happen late at night or in the early morning hours. This one was an armed robbery that happened during the day at a time when gas stations tend to be busy.
