Atlanta City Hall Closed for Thanksgiving: We’re not really sure who tries to go to city hall on Thanksgiving, but practically every city and county in Georgia announces that their offices will be closed for major holidays. Here are the city of Atlanta’s closures:
Atlanta City Hall and all City offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29. in observance of Thanksgiving Day.
Due to the Thanksgiving Day holiday, the Atlanta City Council Committee meetings have been rescheduled for the week as follows:

School Closures: Glynn County Schools will be closed Monday, Nov. 25 through Friday, Nov. 29 for the Thanksgiving holiday. Due to scheduled power renovations, the district’s administrative offices will be closed as well. School and regular office hours will resume on Monday, Dec. 2.

According to a Betway study, Georgia ranks sixth among states tired of seeing the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, with a 58% negative sentiment in related posts over the last year.

Floyd County Board of Assessors: The Floyd County Board of Assessors hold a special called meeting on Tuesday November 26, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. in Suite 216 of the Historic Courthouse located at 4 Government Plaza, Rome. The purpose of the meeting is to approve the 2024 Public Utility Values as submitted by the Georgia Department of Revenue. The meeting is open to the public.
