Icy Conditions on I-985 South in Gwinnett County: Lanes are affected on I-985 South at Buford Dr. (mile marker 3.8) due to icy conditions.
Clairmont Bridge Closed: The Clairmont Bridge is closed until further notice due to inclement weather. Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes.
Traffic Alert in Lamar County: Lanes in both directions on State Route 7 at McLean Rd./Trice Rd. (mile marker 18.44) are affected due to icy conditions. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes.
State Route 16 Closed in Butts County: All lanes are blocked in both directions on State Route 16 at Imogene Goff Rd. (mile marker 8.27) due to icy conditions. Drivers should seek alternate routes.
Traffic Alert in Henry County: One right lane on State Route 42 South at State Route 155 (mile marker 9.87) is currently blocked due to icy conditions. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and expect potential delays in the area.
Jackson Traffic Alert: Joy Street is impassable due to icy conditions. City crews will be treating the roads this morning. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
The City of Jackson has treated the following roads and areas for icy conditions:
- McDonough Road
- MLK Jr. Drive
- Peachtree Street
- Stark Road
- Alabama Boulevard
Additionally, the following parking lots have been treated:
- City of Jackson Police Department
- City of Jackson Fire Department
- City Hall
- Hospital
