On February 15, 2019 just after 12:00pm Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Unit Investigators along with the Department of Homeland Security, DEA Clandestine Lab Team and the United States Postal Service Postal Inspectors executed a search warrant at a home on Andy Drive in Bibb County.
The case originated when postal inspectors found a chemical substance being shipped to the Andy Drive address.
During the search of the residence a crude chemical lab was found.
According to the sheriff’s department, the lab was set up in attempts to make what appeared to be Ecstasy The DEA removed the chemicals for testing and disposal.
41 year-old Tavern Lave Downing Sr. of Macon, was charged with Trafficking Schedule I Controlled Substance and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon. He is being held in the Bibb County Jail without bond.
