Scandrett and Shaquille O’Neal present the Inaugural Law Enforcement and CommUNITY Car Show benefiting The Georgia Sheriffs’ Association’s Youth Home which was established to give our state’s most at-risk children the love, safety and stability needed to become mature, successful adults. Roswell firefighters extinguish burning offloaded recycling materials
On Friday, February 25, Roswell Engine 23 responded to a possible grass fire in the Steeple Chase subdivision.
Upon arrival, fire crews found burning contents of a recycling truck offloaded in the roadway. Firefighters extinguished the fire and stood by until the roadway was reopened.
Although the cause of the fire is unknown, fire officials say the incident is a great reminder that materials improperly placed into the trash can be significant fire hazards.
I-75 South Closed in Ringgold
I-75 southbound at exit 345 is closed due to a diesel spill, the Ringgold Police Department reports. This may take a while to clean up. Drivers are reminded to slow down in this area and use caution.
Tractor-trailer bottoms out, blocking roadway
Both directions of Peachtree Industrial Blvd. were completely blocked near Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth Friday morning due to a tractor-trailer which bottomed out while attempting to enter the Peachtree Hills Shopping center.
Bremen gets a new fire truck
The City of Bremen held a push-in ceremony for its brand new fire truck Friday. The Push-In Ceremony is a tradition that dates back to the days of horse drawn and steam fire engines.

The 20th Annual Paulding Cops for Kids, Inc. Golf Tournament is back after a two year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year’s event will be held on Wednesday April 27, 2022 at 9:00 AM at Creekside Golf and Country Club.
