An 18-year-old driver was stopped and arrested Wednesday night after Sandy Springs police clocked the vehicle at 119 mph on Georgia 400.
What’s Happening: A Sandy Springs officer pulled the driver over at approximately 8:34 p.m. Wednesday. The driver was arrested on the spot. Sandy Springs police announced the arrest Thursday on social media, calling the speed “extremely dangerous.”
What’s Important: The posted speed limit on that stretch of Ga. 400 is 65 mph. The driver was traveling nearly double that.
