The Banks County Sheriff’s Office handled 686 calls for service during the first week of September, according to their Monday morning update covering September 1 through 7, 2025.

What the Numbers Show

Deputies made 29 arrests and initiated 171 traffic stops throughout the week. They also responded to 16 motor vehicle accidents across the county.

The sheriff’s office conducted 228 extra patrols.

Current Jail Population

The county jail housed 156 inmates as of the report date, with an additional 62 inmates placed in other facilities.

Administrative Work

The week’s activity generated 53 incident reports, which document crimes, accidents, and other events requiring law enforcement response.
