Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Midtown Atlanta is reopening its historic sanctuary on August 18, 2024, following a significant refurbishment project.
The updates include new roofing, upgraded electrical and lighting systems, and fresh interior paint. The sanctuary, originally built 72 years ago, is now set to welcome worshippers and the broader community into an enhanced space.
“It’s thrilling to watch our sanctuary begin a new chapter with an array of upgrades,” said Pastor Mark Larson, senior pastor of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. “It’s an honor to continue offering the timeless message of grace, inclusion, and acceptance in a refreshing, state-of-the-art setting.”
The church will also host a Fall Kick-off event on the same day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring games, food, and activities in the church atrium. The event is open to the entire Midtown community, offering opportunities to explore the church’s various service and ministry offerings.
