As part of its ongoing effort to support families facing hardships, Amerigroup Georgia has unveiled a groundbreaking initiative – a Baby Food Pantry located at the Amerigroup Community Center, 3030 Headland Drive, Suite 900.
This innovative pantry, the first of its kind in the Atlanta metro area, will be open every third Thursday of the month from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. to offer complimentary baby food supplies to visitors. The next pantry will be held on Thursday, May 16, and it will be free and open to the public.
With supplies limited, early arrival is advised to secure these essential resources for infants and toddlers. This initiative aims to assist parents and families facing hardships in the area.
Amerigroup representatives will also be available at these events to assist with Medicaid health coverage. Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids redetermination is currently underway in Georgia, and eligible families must take necessary steps to keep their coverage before the process ends. Members have up to 90 days after their redetermination date to complete their paperwork. If a member is no longer eligible for Medicaid, they may be eligible for other kinds of assistance, like the new Pathways to Coverage Program.
