Gwinnett Police search for violent rape suspect

The Gwinnett County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a violent rape suspect.

According to police, On Sept. 20, the victim was walking on Pleasant Hill Road when she was grabbed from behind and attacked by an unknown man.

The victim was dragged into the wood line on the 2500 block of Pleasant Hill Road and sexually assaulted by the man. The victim sustained serious injuries from the assault.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s to 30s with dreadlocks.  He was wearing khaki pants, a white striped shirt, and he had backpack. A sketch artist was able to work with the victim to create a drawing of the suspect. Detectives are asking for the public’s help in either identifying the man or providing information on the case.
