The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help finding a missing 17-year-old girl.

According to the sheriff’s department, Lakota Owens-Howard was last seen Sept. 5 at her mother’s home in Douglas County.

She was wearing a yellow shirt with the earth in blue on the front, yellow shorts, gray knee-high socks and black shoes.
