LAWRENCEVILLE — A 37-year old Lithonia man died in a fatality crash that took place Saturday night.
On Saturday, June 27, at about 8:30 p.m. Gwinnett County Police officers were dispatched to an injury crash on Oak Road near Tony Drive.
According to police, 37-year-old Kip Madison, of Lithonia, was driving a black Toyota Camry southbound on Oak Road in a curve just north of Tony Drive. Police say the Toyota Camry veered into the northbound lane and struck a white Lexus RX350 head-on.
Kip died as a result of his injuries.
:Speed and alcohol are being investigated as contributing factors in this collision,” said Gwinnett County Police spokesperson Michele Pihera.
The driver of the Lexus was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
