Sub-freezing temperatures are expected in southeast Georgia Thursday.
The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning that will go into effect from 3 to 9 a.m. Thursday. Temperatures are expected to be about 30 degrees.
Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation. Appropriate action should be taken to ensure tender vegetation and outdoor pets have adequate protection from the cold temperatures.
Young children, the elderly and the homeless are especially vulnerable to the cold and measures should be taken to protect them.
