A fatal car crash occurred on Windermere Parkway at about 3:20 p.m. on December 12. Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department responded to the scene near Osterly Way.
The driver, 28-year-old Kelsey Duttenhofer of Cumming, was in a 2011 Honda Accord. The vehicle failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway, striking a fence and a tree.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Duttenhofer, who was not wearing her seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Speed is being considered a contributing factor in the crash, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The investigation is ongoing.
