When Will City of Brookhaven Pools Open This Year?

BROOKHAVEN — Brookhaven residents can keep cool this summer at one of the City of Brookhaven’s city pools or splash pad.

The pools are located at: Murphey Candler Park at 1551 W Nancy Creek Drive and Briarwood Park at 2235 Briarwood Way NE. 

The splash pad is at Ashford Park at 2980 Redding Road. All three will open for the summer on Saturday, May 28, at 10 a.m. 

The Lynwood Park pool is closed this summer as construction is underway on a new pool, pool house and splash pad.

“We’re looking forward to a busy and full season,” said Parks & Recreation Director Brian Borden. “I invite everyone to come out and cool off in our pools.”

Pool hours:

Mondays-Thursdays, 12-6 p.m.

Fridays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

Sundays, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

Ashford Park splash pad hours:

Tuesdays-Sundays, 10 a.m.-8:30 p.m.

Mondays, CLOSED; rentals only allowed

Season passes are available for purchase at Lynwood Recreation Center from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The seasonal fees are $80 per child (under 18), $120 for adults (18+), $60 for seniors (55+) or $250 per family of 4. Family members must live in the same household. There is a $60 charge for additional family members in the same household. 

Daily admission to the pools is $3 per child ages 2 through 17, $5 per adult ages 18 through 54 and $1 for seniors ages 55 and up.

There is a $2 per person charge with groups of 20 or more. Payment for general daily admission can be made by cash or credit card at the pool.
