A 33-year-old Dawsonville man died Thursday night when his motorcycle collided with a Mercedes in Forsyth County.
The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department were dispatched to Buford Dam Road and Homeside Drive at 10 p.m. regarding a crash involving a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the 2007 Kawasaki ZX600 motorcycle was traveling east on Buford Dam Road and the 2016 Mercedes Benz GLE was traveling westbound. As the motorcycle traveled in the direction of the Mercedes, it entered the westbound lane quickly and impacted the front the Mercedes.
The driver of the motorcycle, 33-year-old Joshua Waldrop of Dawsonville, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
