Georgia man in critical condition after his go-kart collided with a car

A 36-year-old Georgia man is in critical condition after a crash involving his go-kart and two cars on Log Cabin Drive just after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning;.

According to witness statements, the man was driving a go-kart and was traveling on Log Cabin Drive, in the right lane. Witnesses say he lost control of the go-kart ,veering into the left lane side swiping a Honda Civic. He then spun out of control back into the path of a Nissan Altima that was traveling behind him. He was struck head on by the vehicle.

The  driver of the go-kart was transported to the Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance for treatment. He is listed to be in critical condition.

The driver of the Honda was not injured during the accident. The pregnant driver of the Nissan was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

This incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information in reference to accident is urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500.
