Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators are investigating the shooting that occurred at an apartment on Mumford Road at about 3:31 p.m. Christmas Day.

According to the sheriff’s office, during a Christmas gathering a two-year-old girl found a firearm and was playing with the gun. During this time the gun went off and the child was shot in the head.
