Roswell baker, Canita Allen is has secured retail space in Roswell and is turning to GoFundMe to help stock the new bakery.
The bakery, I Canita Cake will be more than baked goods. The retail space will also be used for cookie decorating classes, according to the GoFundMe page.
Funds raised through the campaign will go toward the purchase of a bakery case, prep tables, stools, chairs, mixing bowls and other essential items to make sure the bakery is ready when doors open.
Those who contribute will be rewarded based on the amount given, with those donating $50 receiving a dozen cupcakes and those who donate $1,000 receiving four dozen cupcakes, a three dozen sampler box of new menu items, two holiday assortments and a cookie decorating class for 8 once the bakery opens.
As of this writing the bakery has received $750 in donations. The goal for the campaign is $16,000.
A date for the opening will be announced by the end of February. Currently, the bakery is going through the permitting and inspection process.
