The City of Lilburn Tree Lighting will take place on Nov. 17 in front of Lilburn City Hall-Library at 340 Main Street.

The event begins at 6 p.m. and includes holiday music by the Lilburn Middle School Chorus, the Georgia Brass Band, and the Lilburn First Baptist Proclamation Handbell Ensemble. In addition to having a picture taken with reindeer from 6 to 8 p.m., kids can get their own reindeer antler headband, while supplies last. After the ceremonial lighting, everyone will sing “O Christmas Tree” in unison to conclude the festivities.

This year’s Lilburn Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 1, will feature floats, classic cars, marching bands, and more.

The parade will begin at 10 a.m. and travel down Main Street to the Calvin Fitchett Municipal Complex. The parade will feature the 2018 Gwinnett County Public Schools Teacher of the Year, Heidi Campbell, serving as Grand Marshal for the parade. Campbell teaches journalism and British literature at Parkview High School. Following the parade, children can visit with Santa at Lilburn City Hall-Library.
