The Flint River Fair, a hallmark event heralding the autumn season in Bainbridge unfolds by the scenic banks of the Flint River. Hosted at the Earle May Boat Basin ran from October 3 to October 7, and was organized by the local Chamber of Commerce.

The fair is a confluence of carnival rides, sumptuous food, games, and a plethora of events that mirror the community’s spirit. Each day at the fair is themed differently, featuring events like Character Day, Music Night with community bands, a Patriotic Costume Contest, and a 4-H petting zoo among others.

The fair also entices attendees from neighboring cities like Tallahassee, Thomasville, Albany, and Dothan, making it a regional attraction.

Amidst the myriad of activities, the Hot Dog Eating Contest stands as a highlight, scheduled on the last day of the fair. Proudly sponsored by SunStop, this contest is not only a test of one’s gastronomic capacity but also a free entry to a chance of bagging a $500 prize.

Here are some photos to help you relive the magic of the event.
