Heavy rainfall from Hurricane Sally will impact Georgia today through early Friday. Rainfall amounts have shifted southward, but 3 to 6 inches are still expected, with locally higher amounts.
Soil is expected to become saturated, leading to heavy runoff and flash floods.
Some rivers, creeks and small streams are expected to experience flooding that could last into the weekend or longer.
Sally made landfall in Gulf Shores, Alabama just before 5 a.m. Wednesday and is now a Category 2 storm.
