Georgia Power has restored electricity to more than 100,000 customers affected by Tropical Storm Debby as the storm continues to impact parts of the state.

As of 11:30 a.m. on August 6, approximately 11,000 customers are still experiencing outages, and restoration efforts are ongoing.

The company has deployed thousands of personnel, including employees and utility workers from outside Georgia, to manage the restoration process efficiently and safely.

Georgia Power reminds residents to exercise caution and prioritize safety as the storm conditions persist.
