Driver Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Lawrenceville

A driver was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Buford Drive Wednesday evening, as police investigate the role of alcohol in the collision.

Just the Facts:

• When and Where: The crash happened at 6 p.m. on Nov. 27, near Buford Drive and Hurricane Shoals Road in Lawrenceville.

• What Happened: According to the Lawrenceville Police Department, a vehicle traveling north on Buford Drive crossed into southbound lanes, colliding head-on with a Nissan Rogue.

• Outcome: The driver of the Nissan Rogue died from injuries sustained in the crash. The driver and passengers of the other vehicle were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

• Investigation: Police suspect alcohol was involved. Charges are expected as the investigation continues.

• Victim’s Identity: The name of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.
