SAVANNAH — A 70-year-old on a scooter fell victim to the latest crash in Savannah.
Savannah Police are investigating a morning crash that resulted in serious injuries to the 70-year-old. Two accidents involving pedestrians were also reported and are being investigated this week.
Around 7:50 a.m. a driver was traveling east on Washington Avenue in a Honda Accord at the same time that the 70-year-old was stopped on his scooter at the stop sign in the median of Reynolds Street at Washington Avenue.
According to police, the scooter driver attempted to cross the intersection in front of the Accord, resulting in the collision.
He was transported to Memorial Medical Center with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
