The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a tragic pedestrian traffic collision that occurred on the I-475 northbound overpass over Eisenhower Parkway late last night.
According to the preliminary information provided by authorities, the incident took place just before 11:00 p.m. It was reported that a 19-year-old male from Sparta was driving a Ford Mustang on I-475 northbound when his vehicle struck a 37-year-old male pedestrian who was walking in the roadway.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene by Coroner Leon Jones.
