36-year-old Lawrenceville man dies in crash in Gwinnett County

A 36-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Gwinnett County just after 3 a.m. Saturday.

According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, the vehicle was driving on McKendree Church Road when the driver lost control and left the roadway. When the vehicle left the road, it struck a fence and then a tree.

The driver of the vehicle, 36-year-old Jerry Brock, of Lawrenceville, died at the scene.

Police say speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash. The collision is still being investigated and police are asking any witnesses to contact detectives.
