You’d think getting arrested once for stealing cars at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport might be enough to learn a lesson. But for one persistent thief, it seems history has a habit of repeating itself— badly.

You’d think getting arrested once for stealing cars at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport might be enough to learn a lesson. But for one persistent thief, it seems history has a habit of repeating itself— badly.

Just the Facts:

• On Nov. 25, a patrol officer spotted a man prowling the Rental Car Center, acting suspiciously enough to warrant closer attention.

• The suspect, already on the radar for previous arrests, had reportedly stolen a Kia Forte and Kia Sorento the day before and attempted to snag an Audi A6 on November 25. His plan hit a roadblock—literally—when a security barrier stopped him.

• He was promptly arrested and charged with theft by taking (automobile), theft by taking (key fob), prowling, and entering an automobile.

• Oh, and this isn’t his first time getting in trouble for this. Back in 2022, he was arrested for—wait for it—auto theft at the very same Rental Car Center.

And Then: When shown a photo of his prior arrest by police, the suspect responded, “Uhhh yes, that’s me.”

How You Can Help: Stay alert at public spaces like the airport and report any suspicious activity. Security systems can do a lot, but they can’t replace a vigilant public. This suspect was caught because someone alerted police to a prowler.

⚠️ Reminder: Crime articles contain only charges and information from police reports and law enforcement statements. Suspects and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
