- Three waterspouts were spotted off the south end of Tybee Island Monday afternoon, Tybee Island Ocean Rescue reported. The sighting comes as the beach is already under a swimming ban due to dangerous currents and lightning in the area.
- Tybee Island lifeguards have raised double-red flags, banning all swimming due to extremely dangerous conditions including strong longshore and rip currents. Lightning in the area has also forced lifeguards off the beach until 30 minutes after the last strike within 12 miles.
- Robert Joel Jett, 76, who has dementia and was reported missing from Bolding Mill Park in Hall County, has been safely located, the Hall County Sheriff's Office announced early Monday.
- Hall County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help finding Robert Joel Jett, 76, who has dementia and was last seen around 10:30 p.m. Sunday at Bolding Mill Park, Lot 92, at 4055 Chestatee Road.
