FORSYTH COUNTY — The work of a local sheriff’s office isn’t always about arresting hardened criminals and fighting crime.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Dept. performed a quick rescue on a baby deer yesterday that was caught in a fence in a residential area.

The video shows a deputy calmly walking over to the stuck deer and telling him to calm down while he frees him.

Afterwards, the deputy can be heard saying, “Bambi is free.”

You can watch the video for yourself above. It may take a moment to load.
