Genesis Joy House Homeless Shelter in Warner Robins is hosting its 8th Annual Toy Drive to bring holiday cheer to economically challenged veteran families and their children. The event, scheduled for Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., will take place at 501 Marshall Avenue in Warner Robins, Georgia.
The toy drive will provide gifts, clothing, and essential items to 11 veteran families and 26 children. Santa Claus will be on hand for photos, and attendees can enjoy peanut butter cookies and hot chocolate.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support we have received from our community over the years,” said Rebecca Bearden, Outreach Coordinator of Genesis Joy House. “This annual toy drive has become a cherished tradition, bringing hope and joy to those who need it most during the holiday season.”
Genesis Joy House focuses on supporting unhoused female veterans, a group that often faces unique challenges such as economic instability, homelessness, and mental health struggles. The organization provides resources and programs to help break the cycle of homelessness and foster self-sufficiency.
