Look away, Georgia Bulldogs faithful.
Fans of the back-to-back national champions received bad news earlier in the week when four-star wide receiver Ny Carr decommitted from Georgia.
On Friday, the Colquitt County (Georgia) senior showed why his recent decision stung the hearts of Bulldogs supporters and spurred hope for several other college football teams and fan bases.
The highly-coveted receiver reeled in a juggling-act touchdown for nationally-ranked Colquitt County against Lincoln (Florida). It was Carr’s 35th career touchdown catch for the Packers, a new school record.
This wasn’t the first time this season Carr dropped jaws with an impressive catch. Earlier this year, Carr snagged a spectacular one-handed catch against Dutch Fork (South Carolina).
Carr is the nation’s No. 11 wide receiver and No. 53 overall recruit in the class of 2024, per the 247Sports composite rankings.
The 5-foot-11, 168-pound senior had been committed to Georgia since July 2022 prior to his decommitment on Sept. 24.
With Carr now back on the market, some of the reported contenders for the talented receiver include Auburn, Miami and Florida State, as well as Georgia.
