In a tense congressional hearing, Postmaster General Louis DeJoy faced sharp criticism over the performance and reputation of the U.S. Postal Service under his tenure.

During a hearing yesterday, Georgia Republican Rich McCormick took DeJoy to task, in a tense exchange that ended with DeJoy responding in a way that harkened back to his childhood — he covered his ears.

The video has to be seen to be believed, and fortunately C-Span’s cameras were rolling. Take a look.

DeJoy is under fire in several states, but in Georgia where only 75% of mail is being delivered on time, the postal service has been a bone of contention for elected officials and constituents alike.
