In a recent survey by HonestEco.org, Georgia’s Tallulah Gorge State Park has been named one of the top family bucket list destinations for 2024, making it to the 34th spot in a list of 150. This comprehensive poll, which gathered responses from 3,000 families, reveals a growing trend towards seeking out less mainstream but equally exciting destinations.
Alongside Tallulah Gorge, Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park and Okefenokee Swamp Park & Adventures also represented Georgia, ranking at 40th and 45th respectively.
The survey shows how families are now exploring beyond the traditional hotspots like the Grand Canyon or Disney World, instead opting for unique and enriching experiences.
