Dunkin’ Drops Spider Donut-Inspired Inflatable Halloween Decoration

Start

Dunkin‘s iconic Spider Donut is officially returning later this month and it’s back with a vengeance–bringing its own Halloween decor with it.

This isn’t a trick either, we promise, the brand really did release a bigger and better-than-ever version of the iconic seasonal fall treat that looks so good you could eat it (but please don’t try).

Beginning at noon EST on Tuesday, Oct. 3, the six-foot-tall inflatable inspired by Dunkin’s Spider Donuts debuted on the web store ShopDunkin.com, retailing for $99.

And if you don’t have space for the massive inflatable, don’t worry. Dunkin’ has another spooky surprise in store this season, a tinier version of the treat that you can carry around everywhere: a Spider Donut keychain!

But that’s not all. Beginning next week, Oct. 11 to be exact, the original Spider Donut will be available on bakery shelves nationwide, along with a new Halloween fall menu item: a Chocolate & Orange Sprinkle takeover of the classic Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry Frosted donuts.

Dunkin’

As for how the brand landed on inflatable “out-of-the-donut-box” Halloween decor, well, fans’ loyalty to the product was a source of inspiration.

“Our Spider Donut has increasingly become a symbol of the Halloween spirit here at Dunkin’,” shared director of brand engagement at Dunkin’, Kemma Kefalas, in a statement. “Every October, we watch our guests celebrate the spooky season with Spider Donuts in hand. This year, we wanted to create a new and out-of-the-donut-box way for Spider Donut super fans to showcase their love for the season with this inflatable masterpiece.”

The new decor follows two other viral marketing campaigns spearheaded by Dunkin’s creative team, which early this fall brought us the Taylor Swift-inspired friendship bracelets for National Coffee Day and the limited-edition seasonal coffee beverage it released in collaboration with rapper Ice Spice that includes blended-up pumpkin spice Munchkins.
